JABIN – What we Believe
Our Beliefs
The Word of God
We believe that the Holy Bible—the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament—is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
It reveals God’s plan of salvation and is the final authority for our faith, doctrine, and daily life.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17
2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105
The One True God
There is one eternal God, existing in three Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — equal in power, purpose, and glory.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” — Deuteronomy 6:4
Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3
Jesus Christ – God Came as Man
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man — God in human flesh.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless and perfect life, and gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
He was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory and power.
John 1:14; Philippians 2:6–8; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Revelation 1:7
The Fall and Need for Redemption
All people have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.
Forgiveness comes only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ — in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12–19; Acts 3:19; Romans 10:9–10
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not earned by good works or human effort, but received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Everyone who believes and receives Him becomes a child of God.
Ephesians 2:8–9; John 1:12; Titus 3:5
The Holy Spirit and New Life
The Holy Spirit gives new life, indwells believers, seals them as God’s own, and empowers them for service. We are called to be continually filled with the Spirit, bearing fruit and being witnesses of Christ.
John 3:5–6; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13–14; Galatians 5:22–23; Ephesians 5:18
The Church – The Body of Christ
Everyone born again through faith in Jesus is part of the universal Church, the Body of Christ.
We are called to live in unity, love, and truth — building each other up in faith
and working together to fulfill Christ’s mission.
1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Ephesians 4:4–6; Hebrews 10:24–25
