The Fear of God, Holiness, and the Joy of the Lord
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the foundation of a holy life (Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 9:10). As we walk in reverent awe of God, we are called to pursue holiness, obey His commands, and reflect His character (1 Peter 1:15–16; Hebrews 12:28–29).
Even in difficult circumstances, the joy of the Lord strengthens us, sustains our hearts, and fills us with hope (Nehemiah 8:10; Philippians 4:4). When we thank God in every situation, we align our lives with His will, experience His peace, and testify to His goodness (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18; Psalm 34:1). These prayer points guide us to cultivate reverence, live in holiness, and rejoice continually in the Lord.
